Jackie Myers Womack

Principal Chief: Jackie Myers Womack

Jackie is one of a kind. She is loved by all and has the determination needed to work peacefully with everyone. Jackie donates her life, talents, possessions and love to her Tribe. Jackie is involved with many activities in her community. She is the chairperson for the 911 Commission of Beauregard Parish, member of the Order of the Eastern Star-Priscilla 58, board member of ArtsNet, CLIVR, LIEAC and many other organizations. She is a retired health care provider and this is very beneficial to the tribe at the scheduled events. Jackie and her husband, Bill love their community and are willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Jackie's proficiency in cultural as well as traditional crafts is priceless. Jackie is the epitome of loving and helping others.


W. G. Gordy

Tribal Marshal: W. G. Gordy

Mr. Gordy is one of the original Tribal Council members and is a very wise advisor. He is a retired State Trooper with the state of Louisiana. He is well qualified as Marshal for the Tribal Council. Mr. Gordy and his wife Linda are most instrumental in fundraising activities. Linda donates her talent as artist and offers face painting at all tribal events. Mr. Gordy is respected in the community for his honesty and fairness. He seeks guidance from the Great Creator and patterns his life as such. Mr. Gordy's unfaltering devotion is an inspiration to many.


Gregory Strother

Vice Chief: Gregory Strother

Greg is the "jack of all trades" and he is truly master of all. He loves his tribe and works hard to preserve the culture. He defends the rights and privileges of the community. Greg will not tolerate irresponsible behavior, he maintains an air of organization for his people. His multi-faceted career takes him to many places and he always serves as a proud ambassador for his tribe. He donates much of his time and expertise to the people. Day or night he is always available should the need arise. The tribe appreciates Greg's perseverance.


Leslie LeJeune

Jefferson Davis Parish Representative: Leslie LeJeune

Leslie is there--whatever, she is willing to tackle any job. Leslie works many hours donating her time to Tribal business. She has worked in the administrative department in the past and was very instrumental in the record keeping process. She manages food preparation fundraising activities year round, Leslie's hard work in this area makes many events possible. Leslie and her mother, Gertrude are Tribal lagniappe. Leslie has shown the inner strength to endure all obstacles.


Louise Willis

Representative At-Large: Louise Willis

Louise is a most talented person with our ancient crafts, traditions and services. Louise and her husband J.C. are ever busy with Tribal work. They travel many miles representing this Tribe and take a sampling of their work for display. They work with children's groups, teaching and encouraging the youth to continue on in tradition. Louise is always ready for the job, whatever it may be. Louise is steadfast in her convictions, she is very loyal to her tribe.


Rickey Richard

Beauregard Parish Representative: Rickey Richard

Tribal Council--Rickey Richard,--Rickey is one of the most congenial individuals a Tribal council could hope to have. He is always eager and ready to see the job get done and Rickey is a Gourd Dancer at Pow-Wows. He works as general maintenance as well as all other areas. Rickey does legal research for the tribe. He always keeps an eye open for new fundraising ventures. Rickey travels many miles each day in his work and he is always on the lookout for new opportunities for the tribe. Rickey is a vigilant warrior for the council, he protects his people.


Cheryl Bruce

Rapides Parish Representative: Cheryl Bruce

Cheryl is an accomplished silversmith. Cheryl is our source of expertise on "Robert's Rules of Order", she makes sure that all meetings are conducted appropriately. Cheryl is very busy with genealogical research and donates her time to the Historical Library in her town. Cheryl is the Acting Secretary for the Tribal Council, she is very responsible and dependable. Cheryl is also an active volunteer with her church.


Shelia Trahan

Shelia Trahan

Shelia Trahan is a Council Member of Calcasieu Parish and she owns 2 – businesses in Moss Bluff, LA. She is a devoted worker for the tribe. She comes from the Willis line family in our tribe.


Webb Gotte, Jr

Webb Gotte, Jr

Web Gott is a Representative At Large. He is a retired worker from Iota, LA. He is a dedicated worker for his tribe. Webb recently married his wife Carol, who also helps with functions or events for the tribe.


Barbara Sherman

Barbara Sherman

Barbara Sherman is a Council Member of Beauregard Parish. She is a retired Interior Designer and she is devoted to teaching the heritage of her people.


Glen Dyer

Glen Dyer

Glen Dyer is a Council Member At Large of Beauregard Parish and He is a retired Government Employee and devotes his spare time to the tribe, and a great contributor of financial support to his tribe. He is a great Sportsman in all Hunting seasons.
